I have chosen to make products that reflect my joy of hand dyeing and stitching. I use simple geometric designs that enable most of my production time to be allocated for these traditional hand fiber techniques, with hopes that the enthusiasm is evident in the final product.
I dye small batches of fabric using mx procion fiber reactive dyes that are then hand cut from patterns that I draft myself. The pieces are sewn on my trusty Singer® and all seams are pressed open to ensure crisp even patchwork. I use a Grace EZ3 frame to stretch the quilts while I hand stitch the quilt layers together. Any binding used on the quilts is also hand stitched using a traditional hidden quilt binding stitch.
